(BEIJING, June 10) -- A delegation headed by Zhu Shanlu, Standing Committee Member of the Beijing Municipal CPC Committee and Education Secretary of the Work Committee, visited the University of Science and Technology Beijing on Saturday to review the construction progress for Judo and Taekwondo during the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.

At 9:30 a.m., the delegation, accompanied by University President Xu Jinwu and Vice-President Quan Liangzhu, completed a detailed inspection of the venue's construction and facilities. The delegation also examined the venue's surroundings for safety, post-Games usage plans and the preparations for the Good Luck Beijing Olympic test events.

After the delegation completed its inspection, Secretary Zhu expressed satisfaction with the overall state of the venue's construction and offered his ideas and suggestions for the venue's operation and management, which President Xu graciously accepted.

President Xu emphasized the University's dedication to the Olympic preparations and that they would successfully host the 2008 Olympic Judo and Taekwondo competitions.
