(BEIJING, July 23) -- With every spike, dug and block, the 2007 FIVB Beach Volleyball Women's Challenger will take place in Chaoyang Park on August 13.
But high temperatures and heated competition will make sunstroke the biggest concern of the peripheral administration center.
Thanks to the emergency mechanism, there will be four ambulances accompanied by another two back-ups standing by at the east and west gate of the park and a mobile car patrolling the nearby areas -- ready at a moment's notice to give most timely medical treatment to anyone feeling uncomfortable.
According to the periphery administration center of the Chaoyang District, 13 competition venues, five independent training venues and 13 non-competition venues are located in the Chaoyang District. The Beach Volleyball Ground at Chaoyang Park is a perfect example in this regard.
During the competition, the emergency public heath team will be on duty around the clock. In case of emergency, medical personnel will arrive within 30 minutes.
