(BEIJING, July 30) -- It's ready!

After 100 hours of filming and recording, cheers and applause broke out in sound-studios in both Beijing and Hong Kong as the new theme song for the Olympic one-year countdown was ready for final mixing and editing.

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), specifically invited famed musicians Jin Peida and Chen Shaoqi to compose We Are Ready for the celebration of the one-year anniversary to the start of the 2008 Olympics.

Launched July 23, this BOCOG's initiative met with enthusiastic participation of 133 singers from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Some participants commented that the coming Olympics is a great event for the entire Chinese nation and to be just one part of it is has brought great happiness.

On August 1 an advance copy of We Are Ready will be provided to the media.

This official release of the song is slated for August 4 through the Wireless Music Chart and other media outlets throughout China.
