MADRID, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Spanish first division soccer team Barcelona will on Thursday begin a 10-day visit to China and Japan and play three friendly games in the two nations, Barcelona directors told media on Wednesday.
The first match will be on Sunday against China's Super League club Beijing Guo'an in Beijing's Fengtai Stadium. The second will be against J-League team Yokohama Mariners in Tokyo's Nissan Stadium, with the third clash seeing a united team consisting of players from Kitchee and Happy Valley clubs in Chinese Hong Kong.
Manager Frank Rijkaard will lead a team that includes super stars Lionel Messi and Gabi Milito, both from Argentina, and Mexico's center back Rafael Marquez.
The team will be missing Eidur Gudjohnsen, Carles Puyol and Jose Edmilson, who are all injured.
The team will arrive home on Aug. 11.
