

(BEIJING, August 2) -- The China National Philatelic Corporation will be issuing a commemorative envelope, inlaid with gold and jade, in celebration of the one-year countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
This special commemorative envelope features an inlaid design of gold and jade -- a Hetian jade piece 5.6cm in diameter featuring the images of six sports, with the emblem of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in pure gold set in the center.
A total of 20,088 envelopes of high collectible value will be issued and sold for 1,588 yuan each.
"The 29th Olympic Games -- Sports (II)" postage stamps, along with first-day covers, picture cards, engraved maximum cards and other postal items will be also be issued around the same time.
In 2008, the China Post plans to issue a third set of postage stamps, "The 29th Olympic Games -- Sports (III)."
