(BEIJING, November 4) -- In the construction of a "new socialist countryside," the Beijing municipal government has solved the employment problem for nearly 60 thousand peasants by buying services from them.
The Beijing municipal government has actively implemented a rural and urban integration strategy and borrowed urban management methods to expand the coverage of public finance to rural areas.
The 60 thousand people have been allocated three kinds of jobs. First, they protect the ecological forests. Second, they manage the use of water in the rural areas. Third, they maintain the countryside roads.
The Beijing government has allocated part of its budget to pay for the employed peasants.
