The five contestants

(BEIING, November 3)-- Jiang Senlin from west China's Qinghai Province and Lu Yupeng from Gungdong Province will go to Tanzania and Pakistan to conduct the torch relay in Dar es Salaam and Islamabad respectively, according to TV contest results on Saturday

They were chosen from five contestants who included Qinghai-Tibet Railway locomotive operator Jiang Senlin; lion dance master Lu Yupeng; disabled dancer Ma Li from Henan Province; charity campaigner Wang Fang from Guangxi Province; and anti-drug-trafficking policeman Chen Sheng from Yunnan Province.

At a gala live TV show, each contestant displayed their skills, and their hometowns were given a chance to show their scenic and cultural characteristics, as well as their residents'support for the torch relay activities.

The final choices were based on the spectators'votes and the panelists'comments. Led by Wei Jizhong, Chairman of the Asian Olympic Council Sports Committee, BOCOG senior consultant and Lenovo-nominated Olympic torchbearer, the panel included Olympic diving champion Gaomin, the diplomatic envoys of the Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Tanzania embassy in China and others.
